Bob focuses his practice on helping inventors and/or businesses obtain intellectual property protection with patents and trademarks for their ideas. With his varied background, Bob works across a variety of technologies and businesses to prepare applications and argue on their behalf with the Patent and Trademark Office and the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB) for allowance. Bob also counsels businesses and individuals with regard to copyright and trade secret protection.


As a registered patent attorney with a BA in Mathematics and Pre-Medicine, a minor in Chemistry, an MS in computer science, and further post graduate study in Operations Research, Bob has prepared and prosecuted patent applications covering software, medical devices, imaging devices, printing devices, chemical applications, and others. Bob has prepared patent non-infringement and patent invalidity opinions.


Prior to becoming an attorney, Bob spent 30 years in information technology including 25 years of management experience in the healthcare, higher education, retail, and software development industries.
